Carissa Moore’s Childhood Carissa Moore was born on a summer day in 1992. Growing up in Hawaii, she had an environment perfect for learning surfing. Her father, Chris Moore, introduced her to surfing at just a few years old. Together they spent many mornings at the beach. These early experiences helped develop her technique. By the time she wa
